Tear down this wall

The Wall St. Journal notes that Brazil (and potentially many other equatorial countries) can produce ethanol from sugar cane at $25 per barrel-of-oil-equivalent prices. However, this energy source is unavailable in the US because tariffs prohibit this energy source from entering the US.

Mr Bush, if you are serious about reforming energy markets: “Tear down this wall!”

Having paraphrased Reagan, let me now paraphrase another great American, William T Sherman, and say this about our farmers: "If we killed them all, they would be collecting subsidies from the devil for plowing up hell within a week "
